Our handball competitions for girls and boys have been ongoing for a number of months now. The competitions are on a knockout basis and involve 5th and 6th class pupils. The games are played in the school hall at lunch time and two pupils from 5th and 6th classes referee each game.
This is the sixth year of these competitions, having been initiated in 2010 by Evelyn Fennessy. The games are a great success with standards constantly improving and pupils eagerly anticipate taking part and also watching, supporting and encouraging their friends and classmates. We have reached the concluding stages now and the finals will be played in the final week of the school year.
