Scoil Peadar is Pól was opened in 1966. Prior to this the Boys’ School was situated in Orr Street. Prior to 1929 the Girls’ School was on the First Floor of this building while the Boys’ occupied the ground floor.

Presently the school operates in two schools, the Junior pupils in the Girls’ School and the Senior Pupils in the Boys’ School, while we await the building of the new school.
