This year’s fifth class performed Cinderella in Friars Gate on the 30.4.15.
The script was purchased by Mr.English from an American Company. The pupils started rehearsing in September and were very determined to do their best. Fifth class performed for their production for the preschool and in front of Juniors all the way up to Sixth class. The duration of the play was twenty five minutes. The wonderful set was made by Yvonne O’ Brien. Yvonne also made a carriage and Oisin Enright made six horse heads for the mice. A special thanks to the Parents who went to the trouble of putting together costumes for the children.
Overall the play raised a whopping €2000! The money was used to buy a very much needed cooker that some pupils got the chance to use. The money raised subsidised our School Tour to €25 per child! It also paid for the bus we took on a tour to Lough Gur . There is about €1600 left. Some of which will go into the deposit for the new school. Overall our play was a great success.
