Hurling and Camogie

The Schools Hurling and Camogie Competitions have now ended. Both boys and girls took part in hurling and camogie training after school with Mr. Barron, Mr.English, Mr. Watson and Miss Rainsford. Donal Barry Snr., Donal Barry Jnr. and Stephen Quirke from the GAA club visited the school every Friday to coach 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th in the skills of hurling.

The boys played Bruff and Bruree and were narrowly beaten in both games, 2-5 to 2-4 against Bruff and 2-7 to 3-2 against Bruree. The girls lost 0-1 t0 0-0 against Bruff and 2-3 to 0-1 against Bruree.

The camogie players were Sinead Allen, Amy O Neill, Emma Walsh, Claire McCormack, Neidin Savage, Orla O Connor, Julia Wisniewska, Colette McHugh, Chantelle O Doherty, Amy Fitzgerald, Maoliosa O Reilly, Morgan Sheedy, Margaret Fitzgerald, Aine Dwane, Maria Herbert, Mary McDonagh, Emma Coffey, Mia McEniry, Saoirse O Dwyer, Lucy O Sullivan, Ciara O Connor, Chloe O Reilly.

Congratulations to Amy Fitzgerald who was a member of the South Limerick Schools team which won the Neville Cup .
