Geoff Hunt, biodiversity consultant, visited some classes in our school in January to teach us about birds. We learned about bird families such as the finch family, tit family, crow family and dove family. With feeders outside some classrooms, we learned how to recognise birds such as the chaffinch, greenfinch, blue tit, coal tit, great tit, long tailed tit, robin and house sparrow. A peregrine falcon was even spotted on the church steeple!
